Shelby Koven

I initially started college as a pre-dental hygiene student, but my career path shifted after gaining real-world experience in a dental office during my first semester. There, as an insurance specialist and patient services coordinator, I discovered my passion for helping patients in a non-clinical role and realized the ways I could improve patient experiences while working in administration.

This realization led me to change my major to Health Services Management during my second semester of freshman year. Since then, I have continued to grow in this field and am excited to pursue a career in healthcare provider recruitment or operations.
